The Fair is FREE for UTM students! Be sure to stop by the IEC table.
The IEC Niagara Falls trip is a paid ticketed event open to ALL students. Busses will depart UTM at 9:30am, arriving in Niagara Falls around 11am. You will have the full day to view the spectacular and powerful waterfalls that the area is famous for, explore other attractions, museums, entertainment, and enjoy food the region has to offer. Busses will depart from Niagara Falls at 6pm, arriving back at UTM around 7:30pm.

The Toronto Blue Jays are Canada’s only team in Major League Baseball. Join the IEC for an evening watching the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Tampa Bay Rays at Toronto’s stadium. Cheering, hotdogs and fun times with friends are sure to be had!
Busses will be leaving UTM at 4:30pm, returning at around 11pm after the baseball game ends. Tickets are $30 or $35 and can be purchased online here.
SIN Distribution Clinic
A Social Insurance Number is mandatory to work and be paid in Canada and to access government programs and benefits.
Your study permit will indicate whether or not you may accept employment on or off campus. More information can be found online here under the Social Insurance Number section.
On this day at the IEC office you will be able to apply for a SIN. There is no fee associated with getting your SIN.
Orientation events and activities are meant to be fun; allowing you to explore sites, eat yummy foods (you should really try a hotdog at the Jays game – they are a Toronto staple!) and make new friends. Orientation is also meant to provide you with fundamental resources (e.g. SIN). Feel free to contact us if you have any questions and we look forward to seeing you at our events!
